We Are About Caring

The Christ Cares Clinic first opened our doors in 2012 in response to changing economics and an ever-increasing number of individuals and families who were uninsured or under insured. Our original focus was to offer Christ-centered healthcare for pediatric and adult populations primarily providing services of well care and maintenance of chronic health conditions. Our all-volunteer staff consisted of medical professionals including RNs, LPNs, MDs, and PT.

In 2016, Christ Cares Clinic is adapting to changes in our ministry landscape. Due to the expansion of Medicaid services in Arizona and the enactment of the Affordable Care Act, many people in our community (including most of our former Christ Cares Clinic patients) now have comprehensive medical insurance and no longer require our free medical services. Today as we look in our community, we see an ever-growing need for mental health services and an astonishingly low ability to access services for many individuals.

Therefore, effective January 2016, we are shifting our focus away from being a licensed medical facility and responding to the mental, physical, and spiritual health needs of our community. We will focus on various support services which may include counseling, Stephen Ministry, grief support, material needs support through Christ Cares for Kids, Celebrate Recovery, Parents of Addicted Loved Ones, Safe Talk for Teens group, healthcare education, healthcare resource, transitional senior living support, and wellness.

Due to the expansion of our scope and mission, we are now operating as Christ Cares Ministries.
